For our first PROW lesson, TimR and my group mates sat down and had a small bonding session or discussion. We talked about what instrument we play and what genre of music we listen to. I feel that even though this bonding session contains a lot of jokes and random chats, it is sort of important. As from the bonding session, I realise that my group mates are really different. From how our mind set are like to what kind of music we prefer to listen to. And I do think of that as a challenge in the future. This is why I feel that the bonding session is important, as we have to figure out a genre that everyone are familiar with or are at least interested in, and a method to communicate well and work effectively without any unnecessary conflict. For the discussion, Tim also answer to some of our enquiries for PROW1, such as what do we do, how does this work, how is Tim's teaching like and many more. However, all of my group mates are pretty chill and interesting people. I had a lot of fun talking to them during the bonding session.
For my first assignment, Tim asked everyone to write a song within a week, and from that, we will choose on one person's song to work on. This could be another method to solve the issue of us having different taste in music. It also allow us to work more effectively, despite the differences. It also excite me a lot, as I am really curious what type of songs will my group mates write. :)
