PROW Week 13

For Week 13, our PROW lesson started off with presentation by Geoff's Production Team. Their presentation is about arrangement. They talked about how Geoff asked them to use 5 song as reference to mix their product. Geoff gave them 5 songs, all of different genres and distinctively different mixes. They showed us 5 different kind of mixes that they had done to their product and the final mix. All the mixes were really different. During the Q&A, Michael spoke up and asked everyone in the room if we know the difference between referencing and picking up styles directly from the supposed-to-be reference material. He mentioned that Geoff's intention was to want them to listen out between the genres and how they are mixed, then look at their own product and think about how it should be mixed.

After the presentation, we went back to studio C. Tim talked to us a bit, apologised and explained to us that he is sick, but he will try his best to stay healthy and come for us. He asked if anyone got any new songs to show, and if we do not have, we can break out into groups to do stuff he had assigned.
Troy stayed back to show Tim his song.

A few of us were to help Wee Ann's lyric, including me. We listened to his song and asked him what is the theme his song. It's about the dating period between a couple. As Wee Ann's song sounded like Japanese song, we decided that it might be better to use Japanese lyrics instead. A few of our classmates are attending Japanese Lesson, therefore, we leave Wee Ann's lyrics to them. Mabel and YanYun continued writing their song. They are finishing soon.

They only left with lyrics part. Currently, Tim is looking out to see if anyone's song is completed and can be recorded. Currently, the one that is most completed would be Wee Ann. As we just need the lyrics, and the lyrics is kind of like 1/4 done. Im working on my song too. However, Im a little slow. I don't think I can make it in time to submit my song in for Tim. Come to think about it, songs are not limited to have to be around 3 to 4 minutes long. Hopefully, I can get it done as soon as possible, then show it to Tim for approval.

 Currently, it is between Wee Ann and YanYun & Mabel's song, as all they have left with is to complete the lyrics. 

I think we will be spending the next prow to help them with the lyrics, then Tim would probably take one of their's and then we will start recording. Then after that, we will have more time to correct mistakes, make crucial amendments, and have more time to mix better.

This is the pictures of us before going out for lunch. HEHEHEH Troy kept his hood of his hoodie up, and it felt as if he did not have any hair. And its just his bald head and air inside of the hood. HAHAHAHAHA We kept poking it to try to imagine that its all air in it and his bald head. HAHAHAHAH LMAO Pretty cool .
